Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist

The Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist (PRCS) is for the fitness professional looking to offer services to post rehab and medical exercise clients. The PRCS is an entry-level certification obtained thru our Essentials of Post Rehab Fitness DVD Workshop. The concepts and guidelines in this certification will prepare you to immediately begin offering safe and effective conditioning programs to clients with more than 30 medical conditions. If less than 50% of your clients have medical conditions, you want to get started with post rehab fitness but you aren't sure if you want to specialize in this area, then the PRCS certification is your choice. Click here for more information on the PRCS certification.

Medical Exercise Specialist

As a Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) you will learn to develop safe and effective conditioning programs for clients with cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neurological and metabolic disorders after discharge from chiropractic care and/or physical therapy. The MES DVD workshop reviews every aspect of pathology, clinical anatomy, exercise prescription and assessment guidelines for more than 60 conditions affecting the upper and lower extremities, the spine, the cardiovascular and neurological systems. The MES workshop reviews these concepts in much greater depth and detail than the PRCS certification.

The MES certification is recommended for kinesiologists, exercise physiologists, personal trainers or massage therapists that work with medically-based clients and are committed to “post rehab” as a specialization. If 50% or more of your clients have medical conditions and you have a good anatomy background – the MES certification is for you. Click here to get all the details on the MES certification.

Medical Exercise Program Director

The Medical Exercise Program Director (MEPD) acts as the liaison between the medical community and the fitness facility. The MEPD certification prepares you to develop, manage and market a post rehab program in any setting. The MEPD has advanced knowledge and skills in areas such as ergonomics, senior fitness, pharmacology and advanced post rehab assessment and progression. There are 2 major projects each MEPD candidate must submit as well as completing 40 hours of observation in a rehab setting. If you have a strong anatomy background; you like teaching; you have 3 or more years experience managing post rehab clients, you have strong organizational skills and you have worked in a physical therapy or chiropractic setting the MEPD is for you.
